Kissy Emoji - 12/15/2023

Its 12/15/2023 at 6:45am. I woke up around 4am after a fat nap. I took a shower and got some affairs in order: uploaded CHECKPOINT to Bandcamp, figured out how ima post on IG, chose which photos to post and brainstormed the contents of my captions, found my travel blog and updated it, and informed the cake lady that she can charge my card. So anyways back to Marta. She was more smiley and giggly than the first time and I'm thinking or at least hoping she got the sense that I like her. She walked us thru the beautiful Borghese gardens which to me looked like a beautiful and well-maintained jungle with its tall trees. "I'm makin a motion picture, MICHELANGELO !!" (Migos voice) - 12/14/2023

 Im now at the airport. On the way here me and Daniel had a nice talk about Hip-Hop culture now and in the 90s, surfing, skating, places to go when we come back to Italy, etc. We connected on IG and he referred me to some Hip-Hop artists from Rome and his uncle who is a big music guy who is still very famous to this day, Bob Harris. Now I'm on the plane and I'll have no entertainment this entire flight so I'll probably be journaling and sleeping. I probably would be reading too but my checked-in bag has my book. Anyways, the day we went to Florence for the evening was very surreal. We were ubered through Florence which looks like a place where action movies get filmed then we arrived at La Giostra where we waited for a while to see if we'd get seated--we had Daniel call several times to make reservations but they never answered. MATTEO MATTEO ! - 12/13/2023

 I'm very tired so bare with me. Yesterday we took the private boat tour to Murano & Burano. The former a glassmaking island, the latter a cookie and lacemaking island. Denise was our tour guide. She was sweet and chill and probably the youngest tour guide beside Alex, who she dates. She was fashionable and had  charming teeth. I got myself a prosciutto snack and a hot tea form a restaurant across from our airbnb as my mom wasn't feeling well/ We hopped on ab boat with a driver named Matteo who Denise had known since highschool. Apparently boat drivers and water taxi drivers make a shit ton of money but a boat license costs like $350k!!! We drove to Murano island where we visited a glass-making factory. We were given a tour by another (suave, smooth) guy named Matteo. I bet if you yelled "Matteo" in campo 75% of the men would turn their head. Toilet in Venice - 12/11/2023

 I woke up today around 10am so I got some affairs in order. I had Dario reserve a water taxi to pick us up from here at 2pm to take us to the train station; I checked Jarett's messages and okay'd his ideas; reached out to Rachael to star in the vide; sent pics to Cecilia, Moe, Sihan, Bounge, and Jorge; got a steak recommendation from Maylyn; requested Daniel's shuttle service for tomorrow; paid Daniel that extra fee; sent pics of our passports to Dario; asked LieAnne her availability; sent pics to Aya and that was about it. Now im on the toilet, taking my third shit in Italy, first in Venice. Man, Venice great. Leagues and leagues superior to Rome. The people are kinder here, its so much more scenic and close-knit/. The gondolas, water taxis etc are such a pleasant shock to the system. There are no cars here as essentially this is an island (manmade) over swamps, which means the only means of transport if you're not in a boat is by walking. There is no wheelchair acces...

"Lenistas go home!!" in my "Turistas go home" voice - 12/10/2023

 Its 2:30am and we're being picked up by Daniel our airbnb host in 2 hours. We go to Roma Termini and from there we take a 4 hour ride to Venezia S. Lucia. Then we come out and walk to the water taxis where we'll pay 70 euros and be taken exactly to our next airbrb. Luckily, we're able to drop our things there just before we are picked up for our tour. Then we go to our gondola ride which starts I'm assuming around 11:30am. This will last 3 hours I believe. Then presumably we'll come back to the airbnb for a bit and then we'll go see the Haunting tour. Hopefully we will get pizza. Anyways, today was dope. We saw the Colosseum w/ Marta who was so amazing and informative and kind. The colosseum is so beautiful and the weather was great. We learned so much and took so many pics. Italian SIM cards - 12/7/2023

 I'm at the airport...My teeth are very white according to my mom. I found my skimasks and packed them. I logged my 100th movie of the year last night. I watched May December and my 100th movie was "No One Will Save You", an alien movie. Its p cool to have so many things in the works. Im very sleepy atm tbh. I will have to text the people when we're at the airport in Italy. My mom said shes shutting her brain off for the trip so I'll be in charge of everything. There is a babie here that is v cute--I think her family is Thai. I think I'll start reading soon. I just took a shit in Italy yall!
